This class is open to everyone who wishes to engage with their physical body through yoga, enhancing their health, overcoming physical challenges, and integrating the third limb of Patanjali’s Ashtanga Yoga by learning asanas and cultivating awareness through practice. Regardless of your age, flexibility, or physical conditions, you are warmly welcome!
Indian Yoga master B.K.S. Iyengar (1918-2014) is renowned for his meticulous approach to teaching asanas, where all eight limbs of Patanjali’s Ashtanga Yoga (Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, and Samadhi) are incorporated, allowing for a deep exploration of asanas.
Iyengar’s teaching is rooted in Kriya Yoga. He states: “Action is movement with intelligence. The world is filled with movement. What the world needs is conscious movement, more action.” His teachings are based on Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras and the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, with a focus on practical understanding through asana practice. Iyengar® Yoga is recognized for its detailed instructions, precision, and therapeutic benefits.
I have been practicing Iyengar Yoga since 2011 and became a certified teacher in 2018. This practice has greatly assisted me in healing the physical body, gaining insight into its processes, and building a strong foundation for understanding Ingvar Villido Ishwarananda’s teachings and the Practical Consciousness method, which I encountered in 2014. Since then, Iyengar® Yoga has been a supportive part of my studies as a student of Ingvar Villido Ishwarananda, helping me to develop awareness and understanding of Kriya Yoga.
I am also a certified Practical Consciousness Teacher I – III and member of Lillerou NGO.
All revenue of this class goes to support the NGO Lilleoru and the Shiva temple.
The class is taught in ENGLISH.
Price: monthly fee 60 EUR (45 EUR for Lilleoru members) – includes three sessions per month.
